PLOVDIV, Bulgaria – Plovdiv is the 2019 European Capital of Culture together with the Italian city of Matera; from 17 to 20 October Plovdiv hosted a major stamp exhibition jointly organised by the Philatelic Federation of the Philatelic Societies of Bulgaria and the European Academies of Philately.

During the exhibition the Number Zero of the new international POST HORN Postal History Magazine was jointly presented to His Majesty King Simeon II of Bulgaria by the International Association of Philatelic Experts (AIEP) President Thomas Mathà as co-founder of the magazine and by Editor in Chief  Dr. Claudio Ernesto Manzati. H.M. King Simeon II, who had just received a prize for his collection which was displayed at the Exhibition, expressed his congratulations for the lavish production and interesting contents of the magazine.

The first issue (No. 01) of Post Horn – which follows No. 00 launched at Stockholmia 2019 – will be officially presented on 30 November at Montecarlo in conjunction with the International Association of Philatelic Journalists (AIJP) annual meeting as part of Monacophil 2019.
